Bandai Carddass/Sealdass

A brief, and not nearly comprehensive summary, of Bandai Carddass/Sealdass.

In 1996, Japanese toy company 'Bandai' released the first Pokémon Carddass set, commonly referred to as 'Pocket Monsters File Cards'. This first set was released in 4 parts between 1996-97. Between 1998-2000, Bandai went on to release the Pocket Monsters Anime Collection Series. Some other well known Bandai sets include Fancy Graffiti, Stitch, and The Pokémon Weekly. Some of these cards/sets are known as Sealdass rather than Carddass as they are sticker ("seal") sheets and not standard cardstock. These terms were coined by the Bandai Corporation.
